Short version: sizings are not stored unless you save them, and we never ask who you are.

Sizing a site

The sizing is worked out from the form and shown back to you. It is not stored. The numbers are in the page address, so they can appear in your own browser history and in the hosting server's standard access logs, which are kept and rotated under the server's normal log settings.

Site File

A saved sizing stores what you typed (a name for it, the numbers about the site and the plan limits). There is no account, email or name. The Site File's private key is kept in a cookie in your browser and in the link you save; the server stores only a one-way hash of it, so we cannot recover a lost link.

To limit abuse, the number of new Site Files and link tries per day is counted per address. The address is stored only as a salted hash and the counts are deleted after 3 days.

Cookies

Two cookies, both needed for the site to work: the Site File key (only once you start or open a file) and a security token that protects forms. No analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and no third-party scripts or fonts.

Payments

Once checkout opens, PayPal handles payment. We would receive a subscription reference and its status, not your card details.

Keeping and deleting

You can delete your Site File and everything in it at any time from the file. Site Files not opened for 400 days are deleted. Database backups (the nightly copy, and the copy taken before and after each site update) are deleted once they are 14 days old.
